246 The Main Cultural Arts Theatre

246 The Main Cultural Arts Theatre is a community theater located at

246 Main Street in Brookneal, VA. which opened its doors in August, 2014.

It seats 134 with a capacity for 225 for special events, and is a modified

thrust theater, having seating on three sides and an open floor stage with high tech computerized lighting and sound systems.

The theater offers Sweet Entreats concession and Props Gift Shoppe, and has a comfortable lobby and adjoining Will Call ticket office. On and off-street parking is available and 246 has handicap parking and accommodates special needs seating in the theater upon request.

Its 501(c)(3) acting troupe, The Main Act, produces four/five live plays/musicals each year, and its active Board of Directors meets quarterly to oversee its business, some of which is its annual scholarship to a deserving theater major and exciting fundraisers to further the arts.

But 246 The Main offers many other exciting shows and events in addition; opera, bluegrass, and Christmas concerts, art openings, book signings, educational offerings, and benefit events are key pieces of the 246 mission of offering cultural and growth  opportunities to its community!

246 The Main is available for rentals for traveling theater groups and for private events such as reunions, corporate meetings, and parties.
